Ingredients:
One large chicken, drained, rinsed
1 onion, chopped into medium pieces
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
2 to 3 stalks of celery, chopped into medium pieces
Black pepper corns or freshly ground pepper, to taste
2 bay leaves
Water, to cover chicken, about 8 cups (May use broth or bouillon if desired)
2 bouillon cubes, more to taste (up to 3 or 4)

Egg Noodles, cooked and drained
Celery Salt to sprinkle as garnish
Place rinsed chicken in a pot. Add vegetables, pepper and bay leaves. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmering and cover. Cook for 2 or more hours.
Remove chicken to cutting board. Remove bay leaves from pot. Remove chicken from bones, chop and return to soup or make into sandwiches.
Serve with boiled egg noodles. Top with celery salt to taste.
