Sauteed Teriyaki Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

4 Large Chicken Thighs with skin on

2 Tbsp. Light Olive Oil or other oil or butter

Garlic Powder, to taste

True Orange- Orange Ginger flavor, to taste

Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth Chicken Seasoning, to taste

1-1/4 cups Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce

1/4 to 1/3 cup Light Brown Sugar

10 oz. chicken broth

4 Dashes Chinese Spice Powder

In a large Saute’ pan, heat oil over medium to medium-high heat.  Place dry chicken thighs, skin side down in pan.  Sprinkle chicken thighs with Garlic Powder, and lightly or sparingly with Orange Ginger and Zehnder’s Chicken Seasoning.  When browned, turn over chicken.  Heat for several minutes then add sauce to pan.  Cover and cook until chicken is thoroughly cooked.  Serve with rice or noodles as desired.

For sauce:  Combine Soy sauce, brown sugar and broth in a heat-proof container.  Heat in microwave until sugar is dissolved.  Add several dashes of Five spice powder, as desired.  Add to pan.  Thicken if desired with cornstarch and water.
